Hyundai Avante
The now discontinued Hyundai Elantra bridged the gap between the affordable Accent and the slightly higher-end Sonata Embera. Now to reinstate and reclaim its position in the 8 to 11 Lakh segment, Hyundai is launching the brand new Avante sedan in India. This beautifully designed car was first unveiled at the 2008 Delhi Expo and is expected to be officially launched in India in July 2008. The Avante is expected to be launched with two variants, one with a 2-litre petrol engine and the other with a 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engine. The car is designed with style and not too much flaunt for people who like style that is defined with simplicity and elegance. The Avante will step into the market against competitors like the Civic, Corolla, Octavia, and Optra. The estimated starting price of the Hyundai Avante is Rs 8 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
