The Nissan Murano will storm the roads in India in early 2009 from Nissan’s manufacturing plant in Chennai. This luxury SUV has looks to kill with a futuristic grille and front fascia that accentuates a bold exterior design that will clear roads easily. Bluetooth and an 11-speaker Bose system form a small part of an expansive interior that comes with leather seats and new aluminium accents. This marvelous car is expected to equip itself with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that generates close to 265 bhp and is teamed with a continuously variable valve timing system (CVVTS) and a variable induction system. The Murano comes with a four-wheel drive configuration that couples with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for a powerful and smooth drive. The estimated starting price of the Murano is Rs 40 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
