While there is a brisk competition among car manufacturers to capture the auto market in India by rolling out eye-catching sedans and small cars, some manufacturers are also trying to get a hold on the auto market using powerful and high-performance Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) in India. Here is listing the Upcoming SUVs that are expected to make their entry into the Indian auto market.

BMW X6

BMW comes in with another luxury SUV, set to be released in India by the second quarter of 2008. It is dubbed as a Sports Activity Coupe and will be available in two variants: xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The xDrive35i comes with a 3.0-litre Inline-six engine that produces 300 bhp. The xDrive50i plays host to a 4.4-litre V-8 engine that churns out 400 bhp. The BMW X6 will be one of the largest SUVs present in the Indian market. BMW will import it as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). The estimated price tag for BMW X6 is yet to be released.
