Volkswagen Tiguan

Volkswagen is now keen on storming the SUV segment in India with the launch of the much awaited Volkswagen Tiguan in early 2008. The Tiguan is also known as the “Baby Touareg”, since it has borrowed various facial designing aspects from the Touareg SUV that is currently available in the Indian market as an import. The Tiguan comes with a Haldex four-wheel-drive system, potent diesel engines, and a splendid interior with numerous features to increase the level of comfort. There is a choice of two engines that will be offered: a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol that generates 170 bhp and a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that delivers 170 bhp. The Tiguan will have an estimated price tag of Rs 20 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
