Upcoming MUV in India


A Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) or a minivan is also called a people-carrier, people-mover or multi-purpose vehicle is a type of automobile similar in shape to a van that is designed for personal use. Minivans are taller than a sedan, hatchback or a station wagon, and are designed for maximum interior room. Here is a list of the some of the MUVs that are soon to make their debut in India.

With the Chevrolet Orlando, GM will try to make an entry into a totally new segment - seven-seat family multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment. The Orlando MPV would get its power from 2.0-liter turbo diesel that develops 150 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Other important features of the new MPV include 2760 mm wheelbase, wide front and rear tracks. Orlando manifests GM's attempts at blending together the features of a sport utility, family van and wagon, in a single automobile.

Expected Launch Date: Late 2011

Estimated Price Tag: Rs. 10 Lakh Onwards
