Maruti Suzuki RIII
This multi-purpose passenger car was first launched at the Delhi Auto Expo in January 2010 as a concept car and will go into production as soon as possible. Concept RIII is a bold and aggressive initiative where Maruti Suzuki has carefully built in features and attributes of a sedan in a compact MPV to evolve a next generation vehicle. The Suzuki Concept RIII will be based on a stretched SX4 platform and Maruti does not have an engine in its inventory which is powerful enough to pull the 7-seater MPV other than the top end engine featured in the SX4. The Maruti Suzuki RIII is likely to be manufactured at the company's Gurgaon plant initially before production shifts to an expanded Manesar plant subsequently. The RIII offers elegance, sportiness, excellent roominess and space for the big family with bigger needs without the vehicle looking awkwardly voluminous or bulky.
