Upcoming MUV in India


A Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) or a minivan is also called a people-carrier, people-mover or multi-purpose vehicle is a type of automobile similar in shape to a van that is designed for personal use. Minivans are taller than a sedan, hatchback or a station wagon, and are designed for maximum interior room. Here is a list of the some of the MUVs that are soon to make their debut in India.

The Mahindra Xylo pickup truck retains the shape of the Xylo MPV till the C-pillar and from then on, the loading bay of a Bolero Maxi truck has been bolted to the body. The Mahindra Xylo Pickup will rule the road with its 2498cc, CRDe M-Eagle diesel engine. This engine will expel 112 bhp at 3800 rpm along with a peak torque of 240 Nm at 1800 rpm. The vehicle has independent coil springs for the front while the rear has multi link coil springs. The turning circle of the car is 5.4 metres. The new car will come with a power steering along with front disk and rear drum brake system. It will have manual gears and the fuel tank will be limited to 55 litres. The Xylo Pickup will come enriched with plenty of technology like ABS on all four wheels, traction control, electronic stability control, a six speed slush box and a bunch of other nifty features.

Expected Launch Date: Early 2011

Estimated Price Tag: Rs 8-10 Lakhs
