Coupes are closed car body style which usually have hardtop with 2 doors offering either two seats or four seating option. These two door cars are acclaimed globally for their style, speed, and performance and now slowly marking their status symbol in the Indian car market. GM has announced that the legendary Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport model which carries a memorable racing heritage will soon be seen in a new avatar. Chevrolet had first launched the limited edition Grand Sport in the year 1996 in remembrance of the original racing car. The new Corvette Grand Sport will be seen with a host of new features and innovative technology. The super car will replace the existing Z51 model and will match the power and performance of another model called Z06. To add sharp handling, the super car uses a front splitter and tail spoiler from the Corvette Z06. Under the hood will be a 424 bhp 6.2-litre V8 engine and will have a two mode exhaust system. The gearbox choices include six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and manual transmission that uses dry sump oil system and differential cooler. Though a convertible, coupe models will also be available and will come with removable hardtops.

Expected Launch Date: Mid 2011

Estimated Price Tag: Rs. 28-32 Lakh
