Launched on March 10, 2011, the all new Tata Indica e V2 currently rules as the most fuel efficient car in India, with an awe inspiring 25 kmpl. The eV2 is the facelifted version of the popular Indica V2, launched with a new tag line, “Its your answer to rising fuel prices. Its your freedom to go places”.  The ‘e’ added to the name of the car represents ‘economy’ and expected to communicate to the buyer about its high fuel economy. Another beauty of the car which is most attractive price compared to other hatchbacks in its class. Moreover, the car comes with a 24 months or 75,000 kilometre warranty, whichever comes earlier. The car is priced in the range of Rs3.95 to Rs4.77 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

Tata Indica eV2 Choice of Variants and Available shades

 Tata Indica eV2 is available in four variants, Tata Indica eV2 L, Tata Indica eV2 LE, Tata Indica eV2 LS, Tata Indica eV2 LX.

 The hatchback is available in four exciting shades, Apple Green, Neo Orange, Arctic Silver and Mint White.

 Tata Indica eV2 Powertrain and Performance

 Tata Indica eV2 is available in petrol and diesel versions. The BS4 compliant diesel variant is equipped with a new CR4 Common Rail Diesel engine with a displacement of 1396 cc. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. the car delivers 70 bhp @4000 rpm along with a maximum torque of 140 Nm @1400-3000 rpm, contributing to 32 percent better power, 65 % better torque and 46% more fuel efficiency compared to the Indica V2.

 Tata Indica eV2 has been endowed with features which are nothing less than awesome.  The car sports broad 14 inch alloy wheels with a new tail light cluster, body coloured mirrors and rear bumper. The car has been fortified with side intrusion beam on all the four doors. The eV2 also has a provision to provide for rear fog lamps. The car looks sporty with an aerodynamic design which allows a free intake of air and smartly designed grille with the Tata logo in the centre.  Other features of the hatchback include power windows and a keyless entry system. Though the Indica eV2 appears similar to the Nano from the rear angle it looks distinctive without the plastic wheel arcs.

 Tata Indica eV2 is a spacious five-seater hatchback which provides good comfort levels with excellent leg and head room, making it an ideal companion for long journeys. The car has been designed with a wide dashboard and equipped with high quality AC vents which ensure high levels of airy comfort.  Other features of the car include Single DIN music system with USB and AUX port, wooden finished centre console and new graphic decals on the front and rear doors. The new tachometer with two trip meters is equipped with light intensity controls. Features like power steering, arm and head rests and gear knob enhance the driving experience. The car provides for a rear parcel shelf and 60:40 rear seating arrangement.
