Tata Aria
The most ambitious MUV launched by Tata Motors Ltd (TML), Tata Aria has been positioned to give tough competition to Toyota Innova, the market leader in the segment. The Aria however has failed to take off as envisaged by TML, mainly due to its steep pricing. The company has currently launched the Aria 4x2, a seven-seater MUV, armed with the latest 2179cc DiCOR 4-valve DOHC diesel engine, to pep up the sales of the brand. TML will also launch the Tata Aria Automatic, priced lesser than Rs20 lakh. The automatic version will be pitted against the Mahindra Scorpio automatic, Chevrolet Captiva and Ford Endeavour. The on road price of the Aria at Mumbai currently rules at Rs 13,44,000 to Rs17,00,000.
