New BMW dealership in Delhi

26 December, 2007 : Peter Kronschnabl, president of BMW India, inaugurated the latest hi-tech BMW showroom and workshop ‘Deutsche Motoren’, at the Mohan Co-operative Industrial Estate on Mathura Road in New Delhi. In the beginning, BMW made a very anxious entry into the Indian market. But with sales this year crossing all expectations, BMW is eager to expand. It now finds itself riding the popularity wave of the luxury car segment. Having already introduced six of its most popular models to the country, it now plans to add the niche MINI Cooper to the line-up. BMW’s aggressive new expansion plans are aimed at promoting brand loyalty and at reaching people better and farther.

The new ‘Deutsche Motoren’ facility will be spread over 50,000 sq. ft. About 10,000 sq. ft. of the area is dedicated to the showroom. The remaining 40,000 sq. ft. will house the servicing facility manned by BMW certified technicians. Up till now, BMW owners had to depend on a makeshift service center. The new service facility is complete with service bays, body shops, and a spare parts inventory. An electronic diagnostic center will program BMW’s large array of on-board computers. With the fully loaded workshop, BMW promises an unmatched standard of service.

With sales exceeding beyond expectations, BMW is considering expanding its dealer and distribution network in India. Over the next two years, BMW is looking to establish four more dealerships in metros. In other cities, BMW will promote and sell its products through dealer partners. BMW’s presence will not be limited to just the metros as it will groom smaller facilities in the non-metros too.
