21 November, 2007 : An auto show is always an eagerly awaited event that provides an opportunity to look at the future concept of cars manufactured by various companies.
The biggest auto show in India is the Auto Expo that takes place at the Pragati Maidan in Delhi. It is organized jointly by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), and the Auto Components Manufacturers Association.
The event sees participants from nearly twenty-two countries. Car companies showcase products that they plan to launch in the immediate future. The Auto Expo has been the glittering showcase of the Indian automobile and auto-component industry for the last 18 years. Delhi’s winter will witness the 9th edition of the gala fair, from 10th to 17th January 2008. The state-of-the-art Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, has been chosen for the venue, where Hall Nos. 2 to 12 and 14 will showcase utility/commercial vehicles, buses, cars, trucks, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers and Hall Nos. 1, 12A, 15, and 18 will have on display auto components, accessories, garage equipments, etc.
