It is a security device that prevents a car from being started unless the correct key is used.

Any suspension in which the curvature of the wheel is not directly affected by the vertical motion of the opposite wheel is known as an Independent suspension.

This is the name given to the mixture of fuel and air that flows into the engine.

This is the network of passages that direct the air or the air-fuel mixture from the throttle body to the cylinder head. The flow typically proceeds from the throttle body into a chamber called the plenum, which in turn feeds individual tubes called runners, leading to each intake port. Engine breathing is enhanced if the intake manifold is configured to optimize the pressure pulses in the intake system.

This is the passageway in a cylinder head that comes from the intake manifold and leads to the intake valves.

An intercooler is a heat exchanger that cools the air that has been heated by compression in any type of supercharger. An intercooler resembles a radiator. It houses large passages for the intake flow and uses either outside air or water directed over it to lower the temperature of the intake flow inside.

The Intelligent Key communicates with the locking system as the driver approaches, so that when the driver touches the handle button, the vehicle is conveniently unlocked. Touch the button twice and all doors are unlocked. The Intelligent Key also allows the driver of the vehicle to start the engine electronically without even taking the key out from the driver’s pocket. Manufacturers refer to these keyless authorization systems using different names such as Advanced Key, SmartAccess, and so on.

IDIS is a new feature in the automotive industry that was inspired by the fighter aircraft technology. As on-board communications and information systems built into a car increases, the importance of IDIS increases. The IDIS helps reduce information-induced stress levels. This system monitors the driver’s attention workload and delays the less important information when the driver needs to focus on other matters.
