The OPDS uses a sensor placed in the seatbacks of the car and activates the airbags in case of a side impact. It uses a similar sensor located in the front passenger’s seatback to check if the person sitting in the seat is of lower height and/or weight compared to an adult and deactivates the deployment of air bags accordingly.

Optitron is a lighting technology that enhances visibility of the instrumentation cluster while driving regardless of changing light conditions. Usually, the instrument cluster lights up when starting the engine.
