The McPherson strut is a type of car suspension system widely used in modern vehicles. It is a special kind of shock absorber that is used on the front suspension, which replaces the upper control arm and ball joint. Some struts have coil springs around them while others do not. It can be used for both front and rear suspensions, but it is mostly found in the front where it provides a steering pivot as well as a suspension mount for the wheel.

Single (mono) and shell (coque) is a construction technique that supports some or most of the structural load using an object's external skin. Monocoque construction was first widely used in aircraft, starting in the 1930s, and is the pre-dominant automobile construction technology today.

This is a system that allows electronic components within a car to share or exchange digitally encoded information using an optical bus or wire, thus reducing the volume and numbers of repetitive electronic gadgets used within cars and also centralizing/simplifying the vehicle’s technological systems.
