Porsche 911 Coupe

The German carmaker Porsche introduces the 911 in India as a completely built imported model. This two-seater Coupe is known for its styling and performance. The aerodynamic exterior is sporty and stylish with an aura of power. The interior holds plenty of comfort and convenience features that make every drive memorable.

The 911 gives you an option of several variants to choose from with its coupe body style. The 911 is available in 5 coupe models: Carrera, Targa, Turbo, GT2, and GT3. The Carrera model is available in 4 variants: Base, S, 4, and 4S. The Targa model is available in 2 variants: 4 and 4S. The Turbo and GT2 models are available in a single Base variant. The GT3 model is available in 2 variants: Base and RS.

All Base and 4 variants among the models are equipped with a rear-mounted 3.6-litre 6-cylinder boxer engine. This engine delivers 325 bhp in the Carrera Base and 4 variants and the Targa 4 variant. In addition, this 3.6-litre engine generates improved power in the Turbo model delivering 480 bhp and in the GT2 model producing 530 bhp. Both the variants in the GT3 model churn out 415 bhp with this 3.6-litre engine. The Carrera S and 4S and the Targa 4S variants come with a 3.8-litre six-cylinder boxer engine that produces 355 bhp.

The 911 Coupe comes with two transmission choices: a manual 6-speed and a Tiptronic S 5-speed. The Carrera, Targa, and Turbo models are available with both transmission options. However, the GT2 and GT3 models are available only with the 6-speed manual transmission. The performance of the various variants of the 911 Coupe ranges from 3.7 seconds to 5.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.

The aerodynamic and stylish exterior sports attractive round headlights that stand out on either side of the hood. Slightly accentuated wheel arches flank well-etched doors on either side. The triangular roof ends curvaceously to merge into the narrow and rectangular tail lights. The Carrera Base and 4 and the Targa 4 variants ride on standard 18-inch wheels, while all other 911 Coupe variants run on 19-inch alloy wheels. Each 19-inch wheel design is unique for each model.

The interior is unique in itself with high-class materials. The technologically advanced seats play host to a spring system that is tuned to the suspension of the car for optimum driving comfort. The seat position, lumbar support, and exterior mirror position can be stored using the available memory function. The instrument panel and various other activity switches and keys are well placed for easy access and use. A satellite navigation system and telephone come as optional equipment.

Safety is ensured in all 911 Coupe models with all-disc antilock brakes and six airbags, including seat-mounted side-impact airbags and head airbags that emerge from the windowsills. Additional safety features include a Porsche Stability Management system, an anti-theft protection system, and Porsche ceramic composite brakes.
