Rio is a compact SUV from Premier Automobiles Ltd, which is one of the first Indian auto companies known for its old time popular car Padmini. Rio is available in five variants - Ex, Dx, Lx, Gx and Glx. Diesel variants Ex, Dx and Lx are powered by a 64 bhp 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine and Petrol variants Gx and Glx are powered by 75.5 bhp 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. The base variant of Rio comes with 15-inch steel wheels, front power windows 3 spoke steering wheel and central locking. Addition to that the top variant also offers alloy wheels, roof rails and CD player with AM/FM Radio. High mounted stop lamp, Seat belts, front 3-point ELR with pretensioners, Keyless entry, Brake assist and Side impact beams ensure optimum safety of the occupants. ABS with EBD comes standard with the top end variant.
