Toyota Innova Car Review in India

Toyota Innova was first manufactured and marketed in Indonesia and was called Toyota Kijang Innova, while for other countries, it is just Innova. It came into the Indian car market in March 2005 setting a new benchmark in the MPV (multi-utility vehicle) segment. Since then it is appreciated for its fantastic ride quality, luxurious and versatile interiors, spacious cabin, superior performance, and class-leading safety features.

The Innova with its bold design flaunts a premium style that gives a distinctively new presence. The luxurious interiors ensure more comfort and prestigious feel for the family. It gets new wrap around headlamps, fog lamps, new design alloy wheels a newly designed bumper. The Innova is available as a seven or eight seater option. The Toyota Innova is available in an array of seven colors which include white, super white, silver mica metallic, silky gold mica metallic, dark red mica metallic, blue metallic and grey mica metallic. The Toyota Innova provides a choice of 11 variants and two engines.

The Innova is a thrilling surprise when it comes to performance. It is available with two engine options- diesel and petrol. The 2494 cc 16 valve DOHC Diesel engine churns out 100.6 bhp @3600 rpm and a max. torque of 200 Nm @ 1400-3400 rpm. The 1998 cc 16 valve DOHC VVT-I petrol engine churns out 130 bhp @ 5600 rpm and a maximum torque of 181 Nm @ 4000 rpm.

The suspension system of the Innova comprises of double wishbone in the front and four link with lateral rod at the rear. It has 5 speed manual transmission which provides a fantastic driving comfort and precise handling on Indian roads both in plain and rough terrains. The Innova has ventilated disc front brake and leading-trailing drum rear brake.

The Innova has a perfect amalgamation of style and substance with its bold design and stylish body graphics. It gets a prestigious looking front grill, new wrap around headlamps, fog lamps, new design alloy wheels and a newly designed bumper. The three dimensional fog lamp and a new rocker moulding adds to the sporty appearance. Other added features include a new wider and sharper rear garnish with embossed model name that has a hidden camera.

The interior of the Innova is luxurious with appealing colours of the upholstery, leather - wrapped steering wheel, dual tone seat covers, glove box, sunvisor, tripmeter, door ajar warning and dark wood finish.

The new luxury features include Air conditioner, power steering, tilt steering column, Touch screen , DVD, Display Audio with USB , Aux and Bluetooth, steering wheel with audio, MID and Bluetooth control switches.

The safety features include GOA Body, ABS, SRS airbags and Immobiliser.
