The diesel Etios Liva is hopped up by a 1.4L D-4D diesel engine with intercooler that offers excellent performance and unparalleled mileage. All the trims are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox that offers butter-slick gear shifts.
Thanks to excellent from MacPherson Strut suspension and rear torsion beam suspension, the car offers impeccable grip and stability over bumpy roads.

As told, the most significant changes in the updated Etios Liva are purely cosmetic. On the front, the updated hatchback gets slightly re-profiled headlamps and subtly tweaked grille with chrome finish. Furthermore, the wing mirrors now gets turn signals and the rear end comes with updated combi lamps with distinct fin pattern tail lamps. Not to forget the stylish 12-spoke alloys and the newly introduced Classic Grey colour that adds to the oomph factor of the all-new Liva.
However, it's on the insides of the Etios Liva where Toyota has done a more laudable job. Besides introducing a premium two-tone interior for the fabric and the dashboard, Toyota has put in considerable amount of thought and effort to improve the overall look, feel and comfort of the car. Not only the car gets more comfortable new adjustable seats in light shades, but also gets adjustable headrests for the driver seats. And the classy new wooden door trims just serves as an icing on the cake. The Liva TRD Sportivo, however, comes with black interiors for a sportier look and feel.
