Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Car Review in India

India's pioneering car company, Hindustan Motors Limited (HM), manufactures Mitsubishi cars in India under a technical agreement. Pajero was imported in March 2002 as a completely built unit. HM has launched the Pajero Sport, the Mitsubishi SUV which has won the world's toughest driving contest, the Dakar Rally. The Pajero sport was unveiled at a news media conference in New Delhi on 12th March 2012 by Mr. A Sankara Narayanan, Director, Hindustan Motors, and Mr. Masahiko Ueki, Executive Officer and Corporate General Manager of Asia and ASEAN Office, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Japan.

The Pajero Sport gives a commanding view of the surroundings with luxurious styling by combining a high seat position with a wide front windshield. The controls, meters and gearshift are all ergonomically arranged around the wheel for intuitive operation while driving.

The Pajero Sport is equipped with a flamboyant 2.5 litre intercooled turbocharged DOHC common rail DI-D engine that churns out 175.6 bhp @ 4000 rpm. The common rail direct injection feeds a high-pressure, precisely measured fuel supply directly to the cylinders enabling better efficiency and emission reduction.

The engine is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission to offer smooth lever movement and intuitive placement which makes shifting easy and confident. The suspension system comprises of Double wishbone with coil spring suspension in the front and 3 link, coil spring suspension at the rear.

The Pajero sport possesses a perfect blend of style and substance with its bold design and stylish body graphics that beholds the traditional appeal of a SUV. It is loaded with many features that includes stylish aesthetics, robust build quality, absolute power, creature comforts and versatile driving dynamics. The slogan "Go.Play" very well suits this new vehicle.

The exterior features chrome-plated vertical bar-type front grill, front fog lamps, chrome-plated power door mirrors with folding function, rear intermittent wiper and washer, black roof rails, high-mounted stop lamp, power windows and silver front skid.

The interior features the sophisticated beige leather seats, power seat for driver, manual sliding and reclining front passenger seat, windshield sunshade, sunglass pocket on ceiling, Door Courtesy lamps (all side doors), Vanity mirror with lid for sun visors, Front room lamp with map lamps, Front cup holders on floor console, chrome inside door handle, cargo room lamp, needle punch carpet, accessory socket and cargo floor box.

The Pajero Sport is loaded with an array of safety features that includes Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body design (extra-strong body construction), collapsible steering column, side door impact bars, anti intrusion brake pedal, powerful brakes with vacuum booster, Dual SRS airbags and ABS with EBD.
