The sedan is spacious and refined, with upscale features, a gutsy engine and upgraded safety features.

Powertrain & Performance

The Accent comes with a 1.5-litre Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) petrol engine that outputs 94 bhp of power and 12.5 kgm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission gives fuel economy of 8/13 km/l (city/highway). The same 1.5- litre engine powers the CNG variant but comes with an added CNG kit is also available with this model.

The Accent also comes in LPG variant with separate petrol and fuel tank of 45-litres and 27.2-litres respectively. The LPG tank has a special 'Toroidal' design allowing intelligent use of space and making large space for luggage storage. The LPG variant of the car known as Accent Eco also boasts of the lowest greenhouse gas emission as it emits lower CO2. The technologically advanced engine also offers host of benefits including reduced engine maintenance, longer life of spark plug, and enhanced reliability.

The Hyundai Accent's ride is smooth and comfortable; tuned suspension flattens out road irregularities. Handling is responsive, thanks to a front McPherson strut suspension, while its power rack-and-pinion steering allows for a precise feel. Pushed through corners, the Accent responds with predictable body roll.
