Ford Figo Car Review in India

The Ford Figo has been India's favorite since its launch in 2010. It holds its position in the Limca Book of Records. It is the most awarded car in India which has accumulated more than 20 accolades. The new model of Ford Figo comes with a revamped exterior that include enhanced kinetic design, new headlamps, new tail lamps, new alloy wheels and wheel covers. The handling is fantastic and it also imparts amazing ride equality and superior performance.

It is available in two engine options ? the diesel and petrol. The variants available are Lxi, Exi,Zxi and Titanium in both diesel and petrol engine option.

Ford Figo is available in an array of eight colors that are Sea grey, Panther black, Bright yellow, Kinetic blue, Chill metallic, Colorado red, Moondust silver and Diamond white.

The Ford Figo is equipped with a flamboyant 1.2 litre Duratec Petrol engine churns out 70 bhp @ 6250 rpm and the maximum torque is 102 Nm @ 4000 rpm.

The splendid 1.4 litre Durotorq diesel engine churns out 68 bhp @ 4000 rpm. and the maximum torque is 160 Nm @ 2000 rpm. The engines are mated with 5-speed manual transmission.

The suspension device of Ford Figo consist of Independent McPherson Strut with Dual path mounts in the front and semi-independent twist beam, coil springs at the rear which impart precise handling and ride comfort even on bumpy roads.

The Ford Figo flaunts sloping roofline, big day-light opening and sculpted side panels, masculine body lines and bold cuts that impart an elegant new look to this car. The exterior features include chrome finisher on radiator grille, body colored bumpers, alloy wheels, chrome finisher on side repeaters, chrome finisher on tailgate applique, full wheel covers, left hand side outside mirrors, body colored outside mirrors and body colored outside door handles. The artistically designed tail lamps give a distinct look to the rear side of the car which ensures good visibility.

The interior of Ford Figo is luxurious with day/night inside rear view mirror, front power point, fabric inserts on door trim, deluxe floor console, cargo area lamp, passenger vanity mirror on sunvisor, foldable grab handles with coat hooks, cargo area lamp and cup holders in front centre console. The new blue seat fabric soothes the senses yet excites the eyes. The instrument cluster comprises of digital odometer and tripmeter, distance to empty, door ajar warning, low fuel warning, water in fuel indicator (Diesel only), headlamp on reminder and tachometer.

The Ford Figo is equipped with highest safety standards without compromising on comfort. The safety features present are 3 point seatbelts, lap strap for rear centre passenger, laminated glazed windscreen, intelligent central locking, smart programmable keyless entry, engine immobilizer (PATS), rear wash/wipe, rear defogger with auto cut off, fog lamps and ABS with EBD.
