Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 Car Review in India

Chevrolet's top-of-the-line multi utility vehicle "Tavera" is based on the South East Asia's Isuzu Panther. Chevrolet India has come up with the Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 which is loaded with many features which delivers excellent performance and great comfort and endurance. It is a convenient vehicle for daily cruising nonetheless. The base variant has been priced at 6.72 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Tavera is available in one base variant, and four other Neo-3 variants. These are present in BS III and BS IV version with metallic and non metallic option. The Tavera Neo 3 has a varied choice of seats. It is available as a 7, 8, 9 and 10 seater vehicle.

The New Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 is equipped with two splendid diesel engine options. The 2 litre TCDi engine (BS IV) with the direct injection delivers 105 bhp power @ 4000 rpm and the maximum torque is 263.7 Nm @ 2500 rpm. The BS III option is equipped with 2.5 litre Turbo engine with direct injection which is based on Isuzu technology. It churns out 79 bhp @ 3900 rpm and forks out a maximum torque of 186 Nm @ 1800 rpm. It is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission that offers seamless shifts.

A front independent double wishbone suspension and a semi-elliptical leaf spring rear suspension provide the Tavera with excellent control on bumpy roads and smooth ride-quality.

The New Tavera Neo 3 has a rugged exterior which is in direct contrast to its smooth and pleasant driving experience. Despite an imposing size, it is nimble on the road. It is loaded with many features which include the aggressive alloy wheels, new big headlamps for better performance and looks, new Chevrolet Bowtie emblem in the front and rear, dual tone color graphics and the extra chrome finish that imparts extra sparkle to the stunning Tavera Neo 3.

The interiors of the New Tavera Neo 3 are luxurious and comfortable with great ergonomics for the driver and a spacious storage area. The new features added include new Chevrolet dual cockpit design which provides fantastic leg room for the front seat passenger and twin glove box for added storage space. A 3-spoke steering wheel with power steering helps in easy maneuvering through the toughest roads. The new Corvette inspired cluster design adds to the style. The other features present are power windows, rear window defogger, central console with cup holder, Single Din audio aystem with Aux In, foldable two row seats and roof antenna.
