The Audi RS5 has been one of the most awaited launches, having enthused car lovers across the world. The car, first showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010, is a sports coupe, which features a new front splitter design apart from the Audi Goatee grill and bigger air intakes. Pitted against the BMW M3, the new launch of Audi is the sports coupe version of the A5 and the successor of the Audi RS4, a two-door Rally Sports Coupe, which has been tuned and designed for pure sports. A Techno fare in the rear spoiler opens up after reaching a certain speed limit to aid stability. The car offers three modes of operation, comfort, auto and dynamic. The RS5 adjusts its steering wheel, sport differentials, engine, dynamic ride control, shift points in the gearbox and tunes up the exhaust system according to the mode selected.
The Audi RS5 will be available in different colours including Ibis White, Monza Silver Metallic, Suzuka Grey Metallic, Daytona Grey Pearl Effect, Misano Red Pearl Effect, Phantom Black Pearl Effect, Sepang Blue Pearl Effect and Panther Black Pearl Effect.
The Audi RS5 features a 4.2 litre, naturally aspirated V8 engine, which is the same as that found in the Audi R8, though tweaked to develop better power output. The engine produces an output of 450 bhp @ 8250 rpm and torque of 430 Nm. The car can zoom from 0-100 kmpl in 4.6 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 280 kmph.
The RS5 is a four-wheel drive coupe featuring a special Dynamic Ride Control Suspension system, which digitally sets the suspension up to the preset inputs, according to the drive selected. The braking function is assisted by ceramic brake pads which work on 6 piston calipers to ensure a smooth stop. Hard suspension setup along with ground clearance helps the RS5 to conquer the toughest bends and bad roads. The only disappointment would be the fuel efficiency of a mere 6 kmpl.

The Audi RS5 is best described as a sports coupe version of the Audi A5. The classy two-door car has a sporty road presence. The new improved version of the car features a single-frame grille in the front, which is described as Anthracite-gray-rhombus grid by Audi. The Xenon headlights are coupled with ornamental LED daytime running lights which comes as standard on the latest Audi cars. The car also has LED rear lights, headlight washer system and automatic range adjust features. The front bumper has been given large proportions with a big air dam while the fenders are sleek with a flared look. The car has a sporty look with ornamental twin oval sports exhausts, boot spoiler with an integrated LED stop lamp and a sport diffuser incorporated in the rear portion, giving it the trademark Audi RS5 look. The integrated boot lid spoiler automatically deploys above the 120 km/h speed.
The auto-opening boot lids aids in easy loading and unloading while the matt-finish wing mirror, window trims and grille give it the feel of a rally car, the special styling with monograms in the front and rear portion imparts a rich feel to the car. The Interiors of the RS5 features elegant front bucket seats with special sport contour design. The seats are fully power-adjustable, coupled with an electrically adjustable and extendable thigh rest. The three-spoke steering wheel, covered with perforated leather, has paddle shifters and multi-function buttons. The S-tronic shifter also comes with a leather wrapping. The MMI interface of the car includes a high quality music system, integrated Bluetooth phone connectivity and loads of features including 12 speakers, tweeters which can be upgraded, 2 rear LCD screens and Bose or Bang & Olufsen surround speakers amongst others. The advanced air-conditioning system includes AC controls in the rear centre console and passenger compartment. The RS5 is mounted on 19" 5-spoke Aero design alloy wheels with 265/35 sepc, enhancing its sporty appeal.
The Audi RS5 is one of the safest cars to drive in. Packed with 8 air bags, advanced seatbelts, side impact bars, crumple zones, crash sensors, neck protection and head rest. One could enjoy a fast-paced ride while feeling safe!
