Skoda's much anticipated Laura RS luxury sedan blends the performance of the turbocharged fuel stratified injection (TSI) engine to a dynamically sharper chassis delivering maximum driving pleasure through performance and precision. The newest addition to the Rally Sport legacy, the Skoda Laura RS is powered by Laura's award-winning 1.8 TSI 4-cylinder petrol engine good for 160 bhp at 4500-6200 RPM and 250 Nm at 1500-4500 mated to an efficient manual 6-speed fully synchronized transmission which supplies power to the front wheels. The drivetrain is equipped with electronic driving aids and suspension tuned revised spring rates for more energetic handling. The 1.8 TSI provides the highest specific power and specific torque in its segment guaranteeing a wonderful performance and efficient fuel consumption.

The finely-tuned suspension system is specially designed for Indian road conditions features the McPherson suspension with lower triangular links and torsion stabilizer in the front while the rear multi-element axle comes with one longitudinal and three transverse links with torsion stabilizer. The direct rack and pinion steering with electro-mechanic power steering and disc brakes enhance the performance and efficiency of the car.
