Jaguar XF is a mid-size luxury sedan which replaced the S-type. It was in the Frankfurt Motor Show the production version of Jaguar XF was unveiled and the delivery of the car to the customers started in March 2008. It was launched in UK in 2008, and it has been a major hit since then. Jaguar XF was a concept car which was styled and designed differently from the rest of the Jaguars. Ford Motors was the parent company of the model until it was acquired by Tata Motors in 2008, Jaguar XF together with certain other models are been launched in India now.

The car is an outstanding performer, which is equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 engine with an output of 380 bhp. The XF has a high fuel efficiency. The XF has the soothing effect of a sedan and the stability of a sports car. The Sequential Shift System offers an exciting driving experience. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox offering smooth ride.

The design is greatly individualistic and modern and is not at all complicated. The XF is spacious and seats five adults. The XF has a "sedan within a coupe" styling. It is mid-size sedan has numerous fundamental designs which are very specific to Jaguar's 'R' philosophy. It has strong grille, it is designed for excellence with the woven mesh of its grille, side power vents, large alloy wheels and carved light cluster. An arresting single-frame radiator grille dominates the exterior. The interiors are made of aluminium, wood and fine leather. The new model is more eco-friendly with its aluminium body and less carbon dioxide emission. The halo around the start-stop button and Electric Parking Brake switch panels and Jaguar DriveSelector console has a glow around it which is not at all distractive. Heated windscreens with timer, headlamp washer, diesel misfueling protection device are among the features of the XF. The Jaguar XF is available in metallic paint options. It also has auto-dimming interior rear view mirror.

The safety features of the XF are extremely sophisticated and meet the requirements of the passengers. Along with the basic features it also has the Bi-Xenon headlamps with integrated cornering lamps, headlamp washers and automatic leveling, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Jaguar Smart Key System with keyless entry as the standard features and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with advanced emergency brake assist and blind spot monitor as optional features.
