Mitsubishi Montero is powered by a responsive 3.2-litre Direct Injection Diesel common rail engine that generates a power output of 162 bhp. The powerful engine enables the car to go anywhere quickly and smoothly. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic transmission with sport mode.
The automatic transmission is mated to an Intelligent and Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System (INVECS-II) that further enhances the ride quality and makes every journey more thrilling and memorable. The SS4-II is the most sophisticated 4WD system that enables the car to shift from 2WD to 4WD even when the car is travelling at high speeds of up to 100 km/h. When the car is engaged with 4WD, it improves traction and safety and with the rear wheel drive mode offers a smooth and quiet ride quality. The car can reach a top speed of 174 km/h.
In addition, the front independent double wishbone coil spring suspension along with the rear multilink coil spring suspension with stabilizer bar helps improve the stability, handling, and driving dynamics of the new Montero.
