The Maruti Swift Dzire, sedan version of the swift hatchback, was rolled out in 2008 and so far more than three lakh units have been sold. It is affordable and compact car available in both petrol and diesel variants. The Maruti Swift Dzire is available in LDI, VDI, ZDI in Diesel and LXI, VXI, ZXI, VXI AT in Petrol variants. Efficient Dynamics

The New Swift DZire offers a choice of two engines. The 1197 cc 4-cylinder K-Series Petrol engine with VVT which churns out a power of 86 bhp @ 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 114 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The 1248 cc 4-cylinder DDiS engine delivers 74 bhp power @ 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 190 Nm @ 2000 rpm. It comes with an option of 4-speed automatic transmission and the 5-speed manual transmission.

The Maruti Swift Dzire, for the first time, comes with the option of automatic transmission for effortless and smooth driving experience.

The steady front (MacPherson strut with coil spring) and the rear (Torsion-beam with coil spring) suspensions, deliver a more enjoyable and steady drive. The new 15-inch ventilated front disc and rear drum brakes, along with the Brake Assist System (BAS), give greater braking efficiency even in emergency situations.

The Maruti Dzire, priced affordably, sports a toned stylish exterior which refined aesthetic features like hawk eye headlamps and front grille, sporty fog lamps, rear combination lamps and integrated spoiler.

The interior is lavish with a host of features like power steering, steering wheel mounted audio control, manual and automatic AC, well equipped audio system, central armrest and comfortable seats.

Speedometer, seat belt reminder, light-on reminder buzzer, Key-on reminder buzzer, door closure warning lamp and a multi functional display depicting the fuel consumption, trip/odometer and digital clock make up the instrument panel and the console.

Host of Safety Features

The new Swift Dzire is equipped with a slew of modern safety features. And its rigid body provides superior handling and a comfortable ride.  

The ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with BA (Brake Assist) and EDC (Engine Drag Control) prevent it skidding and help in ensuring a minimum stopping distance on slippery surface.

The model recently launched comes reworked with front dual SRS airbags, ELR seatbelts, ABS, Brake Assist, EBD and an Engine Drag Control system.
