The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Alto K10 boasts of an improved suspension, new cable-type transmission, superior brake system and increased knee-room for rear seat passengers. Alto K10 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 13.3 seconds. The performance of the car is note-worthy and the new cable type transmission ensures easy gear shifting and enhanced driving pleasure. The Alto K10 is a fuel efficient car with an impressive mileage of 20.2 km per litre (ARAI claimed), which is the highest among petrol cars in A2 segment. The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 features McPherson Strut with torsion type roll control device for the front suspension and coil spring gas-filled shock absorbers with three link rigid axle and isolated trailing arms for the rear. A taut chassis gives the Alto K10 its fabulous driving character.

The interiors of the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 imparts a new look with Plush two-tone interiors and an all-new 3-spoke steering wheel which are aided by vibrant new colors for upholstery, color coordinated door trim fabric, stylish gear knob, integrated headrests at front and rear, all-new speedometer, tachometer and electronic tripmeter, vanity mirror, accessory socket, rear parcel tray, ash tray and cup holder and front power windows.
