Maruti A –Star Features:

Maruti A-Star is equipped with the KB-series engine, the new generation engine, Generation A-Star. The new engine possesses advanced technology making it powerful, fuel efficient as well as environment friendly. This 998cc churns out  a maximum power of 67.8 bhp @ 6200 rpm and a peak torque of 90 nm @ a fairly low 3000 rpm. It boasts of lightweight aluminium construction, an all plastic engine a smart distributer less ignition system manifold,  with dedicated plug top coils, advanced injectors and innovative rocker-less DOHC shaft. The mileage is 19 kmpl.

The Maruti A-Star is available in an array of many colors which comprises of Midnight black, Azure Grey, Arctic white, Paradise Blue, Bright Red, Silky Silver and Desert brown.

The Maruti A-Star features McPherson Strut and coil spring device for the front suspension and Isolated trailing link and coil spring for the rear. The wheelbase is 2360 mm and the ground clearance is 170 mm. The minimum turning radius is 4.5 m. Maruti A-Star can seat 5 persons. The fuel tank capacity is 35 litres. The A-Star is available in the following variants ZXi, VXi AT, VXi and LXi.

A-Star has a good blend of style and substance. The interior features include Sun visor with ticket holder, Assist grips (co-driver + rear), Cabin light (3-position), Floor carpet (needle punch), premium seating fabric (except for the LXi which has standard seat fabric), integrated front headrests, Cup holders (front 2 + rear 2), Crimson illuminated instrument panel, 3 Spoke urethane steering wheel, Door ajar warning light, Accessory socket and Key off reminder, Air conditioner, Roof center antenna, Boot lid opener, Fuel lid opener and Power steering.

The exteriors include body colored bumpers, full wheel cover for all the variants except for the LXi which has centre cap wheel cover.

Safety has become an important point in the automobile market as fuel economy and performance. Maruti A-Star is loaded with many safety features which include total effective control technology, RR CTR seat belt (2-point), Front wipers & washer with intermittent, Child-proof rear door locks, Head light leveling, High mounted stop lamp, Front ventilated disc-13 inch and Immobiliser. The dual airbags, front seat belts pre-tensioners, front seat belt force-limiters, rear window defogger and security system is present only in the Zxi variant.
