Volkswagen Polo
The premium hatch from Volkswagen has finally landed in India. The flashy VW Polo, comes in three variants; the Highline, Comfortline and Trendline. The 1.2 litre engines in both the petrol and diesel versions are quite capable. It is only the petrol Highline that contains the 1.6 litre engine. From the petrol version, 74 bhp of power is easily churned out while the diesel variant gives an output of 75 bhp. Both engine types feature 3 cylinders. While the petrol variant can leap from 0-100kmph in 14.2 seconds, the diesel variant, capable of doing the same in 14.4 seconds stands a little behind. The Polo comes fully equipped with safety features like advanced occupant safety with an electronic anti-theft immobilizer.
The 1.2L petrol Comfortline bears a tag of Rs 4,83,000 (Ex showroom, New Delhi). The 1.2L petrol Highline costs Rs 5,70,000 and the 1.6L petrol Highline has been priced at Rs 6,04,000 (Ex showroom, New Delhi).
The 1.2L diesel Comfortline comes at Rs 5,49,000 (Ex showroom, New Delhi). and the 1.2L diesel Highline Polo would cost Rs 6,39,000 (Ex showroom, New Delhi).
