The Audi A8 has gained the symbol of power and status. It is pitched against the luxury brands Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series. The luxurious car comes with a choice of three variants in India. The 3.0 TDI Quattro gets a 3.0-litre turbo diesel engine that churns out 228 bhp. The 4.2 Quattro variant comes with a powerful 4.2-litre V8 petrol engine that generates 345 bhp. The 6.0 Quattro variant has a magnificent 6.0-litre W12 petrol engine, the first of its kind in India, which delivers 450 bhp. All three variants are teamed to a six-speed automatic transmission and they all come with an all-wheel-drive configuration. The estimated starting price of the A8 is Rs. 65 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
