An array of models has entered the Indian auto market in 2007 and 2008. Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The new Mercedes C-Class is slightly wider than its predecessor and gets a larger grille and bigger headlamps along with refreshing high-quality interiors. It is available in a C200 Kompressor petrol variant and a C220 CDI diesel variant. The petrol variant boasts of a powerful 1.8-litre engine that delivers 178 bhp, while the diesel variant gets a 2.2-litre engine that produces 170 bhp. A 5-speed automatic transmission with touch shift and a 6-speed manual transmission are options available on both variants. Stylish new 12-spoke light-alloy wheels add elegance to the overall exterior style. The new C-Class boasts of top-of-the-line safety features including adaptive dual-stage airbags for driver and front passenger, crash-responsive Neck-Pro front head restraints, and side-impact airbags. The estimated starting price of the C-Class is Rs. 25.78 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
