Tata Motors launched the next generation Tata Indigo called the Tata Indigo CS, a compact sedan dubbed the sub-4metre sedan of the world. Indigo CS has blurred the distinction between a hatchback and a sedan. The car is available in both petrol and diesel versions and comes in 4 variants. The 1.2-litre petrol engine churns out 64 bhp for the GLS and GLE variants and the 1.4-litre diesel engine delivers 69 bhp for the LE and LS variants. Interestingly, the petrol variants come with beige interiors, while the diesel variants host charcoal black interiors. The style features include a newly designed taillight complementing the trim rear bumper, large headlamps, and a distinctive grille. The new Indigo CS will continue to sell next to the older Indigo model. The estimated starting price of the Indigo CS is Rs. 3.79 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
