The new BMW 5 Series sedan has premiered on the Indian roads with the world's first straight-six petrol engine with twin-power turbo, high-precision injection and Valvetronic in the BMW 535i. The power-packed engine delivers 306 bhp. The 523i variant also derives power from a straight-six petrol engine which gives an output of 204 bhp. The latest generation of straight-six diesel motors featuring all-aluminium crankcase and common-rail direct injection stirs up 245 bhp in the BMW 530d and 204 bhp in the BMW 525d.

The different variants of the new BMW 5-Series bear tags ranging from Rs 38.9 Lakh to Rs 45.9 Lakh.
