Jan 15 2008: It’s a take off from the Hindustani word immortalised by Bollywood, Aarzoo, meaning desire. www.carazoo.com, which signifies desire for a car, is an interactive car portal, launched by the Bangalore-based Logix Microsystems Ltd. Aimed at the Indian segment, the portal is prompted by the company’s hugely-successful izmocars products and services in the US. Designed to be the one-stop car portal, it allows visitors to seek individual car prices, technical specifications and features, tools to compare different cars of choice, e-brochures, car reviews, car accessories, financing and insurance tips. In addition, it has a massive database of dealer information that allows visitors to select a dealer outlet as per the proximity. Promoters say that India is one of the fastest-growing automobiles markets worldwide, and that most net-savvy consumers go online to do some kind of research before making a decision about their car purchases. This is the where portal steps in – it aims to tap into the potential customer base from the very beginning of the decision-making process by extending easy-to-use information. Interestingly, the portal is the first to introduce an interactive animation experience. Visitors can take a car for a virtual spin, paint it in different colours from the available colour palette, and experience a 360 degree interior and exterior and interior view, enabling a more effective virtual ‘touch and feel’. The portal has already notched up almost four million page views and nearly 9,000 registered users since its launch a few months ago. The portal’s revenue model includes subscriptions from registered car dealers, finance and insurance agencies, and advertisements.
