Launched in 2011, the Hyundai Fluidic Verna has been pitted against the Honda City, Fiat Linea, Maruti Suzuki SX4 and Volkswagen Vento in India. The sedan, showcased in the C+ segment, has been built on the RB concept and sold under the name of Hyundai Solaris in Russia. The new Fluidic Verna has been introduced to pep up the sagging popularity of the old version of the Verna, which failed to take off, mainly due to its odd styling and non-impressive features. Hyundai expects to grab maximum market share with the ‘Fluidic Sculpture” of the new sedan which is a potent combination of elegant style, luxury and a sporty design with high technology and enhanced safety features.

Hyundai Fluidic Verna Engine and Power, Mileage/Fuel Efficiency

Hyundai Fluidic Verna has four engine options, two of which are fired by petrol and two by diesel. The mileage of the different variants has been certified by the ARAI. The sedan comes with both manual and automatic transmission options.

The 1.4 litre Petrol Engine gives out a power of 106 BHP and maximum torque of 135 Nm. The mileage of the variant works out to 17.43 kmpl. The 1.6 litre Petrol Engine gives out a power of 122 BHP and maximum torque of 156 Nm. The mileage of the car is 23.5 kmpl. The 1.4 litre Diesel Engine gives out a power of 90 BHP and maximum torque of 224 Nm. The mileage of the variant is 17.01 kmpl. The 1.6 litre Diesel Engine gives out a power of 126 BHP. Mileage of the variant works out to 22.32 kmpl.

The Hyundai Fluidic Verna has been designed on the RB concept to turn heads with its exciting design and style. The car features the signature chrome-finish Hyundai grille and chrome finish dual exhaust pipe, front air dam, swept-back headlights and an all new large stop light and L-shaped fog lights and 16-inch alloy wheels, giving it a dynamic and distinct look.  The car has outside rear view mirror mounted turn indicators, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear view mirrors. The Fluidic sculpture design has contributed to the dynamic character of the sedan.

Hyundai Fluidic Verna: Interiors and Comfort Features

The Hyundai Fluidic Verna is loaded with a host of comfort and luxury features. The car has an elite look with its blue LED interior illumination, front and rear seat armrests and leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knobs. The car features a stylish central console with a dash integrated MP3 CD system. The new Verna has steering mounted controls for the music system with speakers and tweeters, USB, AUX and is iPod compatible. The car also has electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear view mirrors. Verna has an automatic climate control system and has borrowed the power steering system from the i20. Other features of the car include power windows and remote central locking. The top end version of the Verna is equipped with push button start and stop functions for the engine.
