Maximum torque of 12.7 kgm is generated at 3,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Suspension in the car comprises McPherson strut coil spring and stabilizer bar in the front and dual link with coil spring and anti roll bars in the rear portion. The sedan contributes to a fuel economy of 12 kmpl on the highways and 9 kmpl on the city roads.
The revamped Accent (2012) is powered by a 1.6 liter Gamma Four cylinder engine, which gives out 138 HP. The car gives out a mileage of 40 mpg on the highways and 30 mpg on the city roads. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission system.
