Mahindra Scorpio, truly an Indian SUV is an epitome of Indian design caliber. With the 2009 version, Mahindra and Mahindra has given its flagship SUV ‘Scorpio’ a facelift.
Among the new features that stand out in the car is a new grill, which now has what may be called a central ‘silver tooth’. This gives the front a more prominent look over that of the previous years, and shares this with the other well-known model from the Mahindra stable, the Bolero and the new entrant Xylo. The new headlights come with the glaringly powerful and efficient ‘projector’ lenses. The car also gets the new 2.2L mhawk CRDe Turbocharged that gives out 120 bhp. This engine is given a new mode, the micro hybrid, which can be switched to standby when not needed, thereby helps to conserve fuel. The car is capable to reach a top speed of 60 kph in just 5.7 seconds. The price of car ranges from Rs 7 Lakh to Rs 9 Lakh.
