The launch of BMW X6 in India is aimed at delivering Indian car buyers with highest standards of quality, safety, and engineering. Being available as a Completely Built-up Units (CBU), the X6 can be ordered across all BMW dealerships in India.
Powertrain and Performance:
The BMW X6 is available in two variants: xDrive50i and xDrive30d.
The xDrive50i is powered by a 4.4-litre Twin Turbo V8 engine with High Precision Injection. High Precision Injection is an innovation by BMW that helps the engine delivers greater performance by making the combustion process more efficient. This technology when mated to the twin turbo technology provides extremely high performance and low fuel consumption. The power output of 406 bhp speaks itself about the astounding per romance. The xDrive50i can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.
The xDrive30d is powered by a 3.0-litre state-of-the-art common rail diesel engine that delivers 285 bhp. This X6 variant can accelerate from rest to 100 km/h in just 8.0 seconds.
Both the engines are strongly mated to revolutionary car technologies like six-speed sport automatic transmission, all-wheel xDrive system, Dynamic Performance Control, double wishbone front axle, and integral rear axle.
The six-speed sport automatic transmission is equipped with extra shift paddles on the steering wheel that provides combines the thrill of driving experience and the comfort of driving safety. Moreover, the all-wheel xDrive system mated to the engine provides better traction, higher stability and more safety by adjusting the amount of power delivered to front and rear wheels.
The Dynamic Performance Control is an innovative concept pioneered by BMW that challenges the tightest bends with its unique cornering qualities and seamless drive distribution. Seamless drive distribution that distributes power to the left- and right-hand rear wheels helps improve acceleration, traction, and stability.
Adding to the improved stability and handling is the double-wishbone front axle and the integral rear axle. The front axle in addition delivers a smoother ride, reduced under steer, and increased driving comfort on every journey whereas the rear axle is a perfect solution to outstanding driving dynamics and excellent ride comfort.
