The BMW 7-Series is BMW's flagship car that was first launched in 1977 and brought to India in 2007. Since then the car has received and available in a single body-style.
The first generation of this scintillating luxury car was launched in 1977 and the fourth generation in 2002. Now, the company has introduced the fifth generation of this flagship model with inspiring style, thrilling driving dynamics, and pioneering innovations.
However, in between the birth of fourth and fifth generations, the BMW 7-Series had received a complete facelift of the exterior design in 2005 and of the interior in 2007. When the exterior was revamped, the 7 Series was amde sleeker by reducing the Bangle Butt design that was further accentuated with new taillights and a reduced trunk lid , impressive headlights, and kidney grille. Powertrain and Performance:
The BMW 7-Series is available in three variants, 730Ld (diesel), 740Li (petrol), and 750Li (petrol). The 730Ld is powered by 3.0L I-6 diesel engine whereas the petrol variants 740Li and 750i are powered by 4.0L and 4.8 respectively. Both the petrol variants are mated to V8 engine technology that improves performance and fuel efficiency.
The powerful and responsive engine technology of the new generation car is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission with septronic. This ensures fast and comfortable gear change and delivers maximum driving dynamics. Depending on the movement of the car, this innovation reduces the turning circle by up to 70%.
A combination of powerful engine technology, efficient suspension, and effective transmission enable the new 7 Series to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.
