The largest motor manufacturer had worked on its 3 cylinder 796 cc Alto model for over four years and shed Rs 470 crores to bring it out to life. The day finally came for its launch and the new car is brought out to market at a price which has let the rivals raise their eyebrows.

Amidst thousands of bookings and loads of anticipation from consumers, 800 Alto was released on 16th of October 2012. There are six variants and the car is powered by petrol and CNG engine options. Both the engines are fuel efficient with 22.74 Kmpl claimed by petrol unit and 30.46 Kmpl claimed by CNG unit.

The price of new Maruti alto 800 is in the range of Rs 2.44 lakhs to Rs 3.56 lakhs. The car is available in six range of colours and is equipped with some value added safety features.
