Mercedes-Benz Brings In R350 CDI 4MATIC

In a bid to perk up its sales, Mercedes has given its first Grand Sports Tourer a diesel engine.

Although the Mercedes Sports Tourer has been around since over a year now, it couldn’t register enough sales, thanks to the ever-mounting petrol prices. But big benz has planned to tip the scales on its favor by bringing in a diesel variant in the form of the R350 CDI 4MATIC.

The R350 CDI gets a 2987cc V6 diesel engine mated to a 7G-TRONIC 6 with 4WD transmission. The USP of the car is however, its interiors. The four-door spacious vehicle has a wide-opening tailgate, ample head and elbow room and a generous luggage compartment.

The Direct-Steer system delivers an entertaining drive while the rear air suspensions offer the car-like driving pleasure of a saloon with the flexibility of an MPV. The R-Class is priced at Rs. 58.9 lakhs.
