ICAT Approves Maruti Suzuki Ritz for India

ICAT (International Centre of Automotive Technology) approves the launch of Maruti Suzuki Ritz after the forthcoming car model cleared all the vehicle tests conducted by the centre.

ICAT is an independent registered society established in Manesar, Haryana that provides a wide range of technical services to automotive industry in India. It is a testing agency which tests all the cars that are to be rolled out on India roads to ensure their reliability and durability and eventually works towards the development of the Indian automobile industry.

The registered body is presently investing Rs 440 Crore to expand its facilities and provide better automotive testing facilities. The new facilities would include a power-train laboratory, engine dynamometers, emission laboratory with Euro V capability, a fatigue laboratory passive safety laboratory, and vehicle test tracks.
