Monaco Grand Prix could have been Force India’s biggest victory, but due the unfortunate incident when the car crashed out after being hit from behind, it couldn’t win the race. Force India’s driver Adrian Sutil, was on fourth position and was just seven minutes away from completing the race when the car was hit from behind by Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen. Sutil was forced out of the race with just three laps to go. If Sutil had completed the race, Force India would have stood to get the first Grand Prix point.

Finally, the Grand Prix was won by Mclaren driver Lewis Hamilton, his second victory in the season. He was followed by Robert Kubic of BMW Sauber and Felipe Massa of Ferrari in the third position.

Hamilton completed the 76 laps in 2 hours and 45 minutes. He went ahead of World champion Kimi Raikonnen by earning 38 points against the latter’s 35 points.

Force India owner Vijay Mallya have expressed his shock at the incident. He said that the crashing out of the race just few minutes before completion was his worst experience in motorsports.

Force India had earlier participated in the Malaysian Grand Prix, where it crashed out in the very 1st lap. Mallya was expecting to win some Grand Prix point at this race. Mallya will now have to wait for next FI race to finally establish Force India as a formidable contingent.

After the Monaco Grand Prix, FI competition is now getting ready for the constructors championships. With this race, Ferrari has got the highest points at 69, Mclaren in second position with 53 points and BMW Sauber with 52 points stood in the third position.
