Premier Auto To Launch Compact SUV Today

Premier Auto is making a comeback in the Indian motoring scene with a compact SUV. The compact SUV Rio is a result of Premier Auto’s collaboration with Chinese auto maker Zotye.
Reports are that the Rio has pretty much the internal size as a hatchback car. The Rio will come with an 1.5 L TUD5 diesel engine that is likely to meet BS IV emission norms. The Rio will come with All Wheel Drive and a 5-speed Manual Transmission.
Premier Auto is expected to sell the Rio at Rs 5 Lakh and the top end version of the mini SUV will be priced at Rs 7 Lakh. The top-end model of the Rio will boast of ABS and airbags as well as stand on 15-inch alloy wheels.
The Rio will come to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit. Premier Auto will assemble the Rio in India.
