Volkswagen, the renowned German luxury car manufacturer has set up its new corporate sales office in Mumbai. This will further strengthen it position in the Indian market. Located at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, the sales office will help Volkswagen and Audi to cater better service to its customers and dealers in India.

According to Mr. Joerg Mueller, President and Managing Director, Volkswagen Group India, “Indian auto market has great potential for the Volkswagen cars and Indian operation play a vital role in company’s strategy. The company is also planning to increase the Volkswagen and Audi dealership across the country from 14 at present to approximately 150 by 2011.”

Volkswagen entered the India market with its model Passat in the year 2007 and Audi in 2005. It has dealerships based in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Ludhiana. The new sales office crosses another milestone which firmly grounds it to India, giving its solid objective to foray the Indian automobile market.
