Mahindra & Mahindra plans to launch its highest selling Scorpio in the US car market. At present, the company sells tractors in the US market and is now set to roll out Scorpio.

Mahindra Scorpio is manufactured in compliance with the US emission and safety norms. Now, Mahindra & Mahindra is waiting for a green signal from the homologation department in US. It has already started appointing dealers and establishing showrooms there. It is also believed that if the company gets positive response from the homologation department, it would be the first Indian car manufacturer to launch passenger cars in the world’s largest automobile market.

Pawan Goenka, President of Mahindra & Mahindra said, “There’s no particular reason why there has been a slackening demand in the market, might be because the customers are not willing to spend at this point of time.”
