Hindustan Motors and Mitsubishi Plan to Expand Dealerships in 2008

20 February, 2008
Hindustan Motors plans to expand its presence in India in 2008 for its Mitsubishi cars. The company plans to expand its dealer network in all major cities of India and increase the dealership to 45, from its current 33, by the end of this year.

Mitsubishi has four cars in India: the mid-size sedans Lancer and Cedia and the SUVs Pajero and Montero. The company is set to launch its popular SUV, Outlander, priced at Rs 20 Lakh, by September 2008. Outlander was displayed at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi in 2008.

The company’s main focus will continue to target markets in Northern India, while having a presence across the entire nation. The company has recently relocated its dealership from New Delhi to Gurgaon to allow better control on this plan of expansion.
