Maruti Suzuki Introduces Green Cabs in AP

19 December, 2008
Maruti Suzuki has taken a 'green' path with the introduction of Green Cabs on Maruti 800 AC Duo powered by LPG. The newly lunched Green Cabs are fitted with the GPRS system which is connected to a call centre to monitor the vehicle's mobility.

The cabin is adorned with high quality materials and convenient features like luxurious seat covers and a trendy parcel tray with a covered luggage carrier. Being equipped with the above mentioned luxurious, the fare rate of the green cabs would be lowest compared to other taxis.

The promoter of Green Cabs, Swarupchand Kothari was given the keys of M800 AC Duo by the Transport Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Kanna Laxminarayana, and Mr. R.S. Kalsi, Chief General Manager for Sales, Maruti Suzuki.

LPG is a good option as it is not only eco-friendly, but also cheaper than petrol and diesel. The dual fuel models like WagonR Duo and Omni LPG from the house of Maruti has been successfully running on the Indian roads. The popularity of these vehicles clearly indicates the customer preferences.
